Why Reviews Matter

Your response may help the next person pick it up.

Recovery books often reach people because someone else was willing to say, “This helped me.”

A short, honest response can help a reader, sponsor, treatment center, sober living home, or family member understand whether Relief Is Coming may be useful for the person they are trying to support.

Helpful feedback can include:

  • What part of the book stayed with you.
  • How the workbook helped you reflect or write honestly.
  • Who you think the book may help.
  • How it could be used by a sponsor, group, or program.
  • Whether the tone felt honest, practical, and grounded.

Help for recovery

★★★★★

This book is a great series of shares, reflections, and experiences from someone who has been down the path of recovery, relating his journey to each of the Twelve Steps. It is a helpful resource for anyone trying to make sense of where they are and perhaps why they are there. It is more of a tool to help you navigate your own way than a book you simply read from beginning to end.

Each share includes a journal space to write down your thoughts, along with a suggested subject related to the share and a practical “to-do.”

This is an excellent tool to have along your own path to recovery.

What a sponsor says about the book.

Sponsors can see the book from a different angle: whether it is approachable, useful to someone newer in recovery, and worth returning to as recovery continues.

It's a book that starts off easy and keeps being easy all the way through.

★★★★★

This book is very informative. The worksheets are very easy. It's a good book for beginners and a great book to go back through and refresh your sobriety. This book is an easy read.
